The A6REL-12 has six internal relays for controlling up to 12 external AC or DC devices. Each relay set can be controlled manually or by a datalogger.
Read MoreThe A6REL-12's internal relays are dual single-pole double-throw. Each of the six relays has a three position toggle switch; "on" and "off" for manual override, and "auto" for datalogger control. In the on position, the common and normally open contacts are shorted. In the auto position, the state of a relay is controlled by a datalogger control port.
A6REL-12's with serial numbers 1445 and higher are UL-approved.

The A6REL-12 consumes 30 mA per active LED. The A6REL-12 may be powered by the data logger power supply (see manual for considerations with 21X) or a separate 8.4 to 24 Vdc battery. The A6REL-12 must be powered by a Class 2 device (Campbell Scientific power supplies conform to this requirement).
The A6REL-12 requires a non-condensing environment; a Campbell Scientific enclosure is recommended. A6REL-12's with serial numbers 1445 and higher include mounting flanges with keyhole slots that attach to the backplate of an enclosure. Grommets and screws are provided.
A6REL-12s with serial numbers 1444 and lower require the 6281 bracket kit for attachment to the backplate of Campbell enclosures.

The following relay devices can be used with the CR800 and the CR850:
The CR800 and the CR850 can also be used with a wide variety of third-party relay devices.
*Because the CR800 and the CR850 only have four control ports, they do not have the ability to switch all six of the relays on the A6REL-12.
