Evan, Ron, Paul, and Rob Campbell at the Building 5 Groundbreaking Ceremony on 3/27/24

LOGAN, UTAH — Campbell Scientific, Inc. broke ground on a new manufacturing facility on March 27, 2024. A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site, with some of the founding members in attendance. Company CEO, Rob Campbell, addressed the crowd, as did Jamie Andrus, President and CEO of the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce.

This new building will be more than 82,000 square feet and will be constructed on the north side of the existing Campbell Scientific headquarters located at 815 W 1800 N in Logan. The new building significantly increases the company’s footprint.

“This is the single largest building expansion project in the history of the company at over 82,000 square feet. We’re expanding our manufacturing capabilities like never before with new investments that pave the way for enhanced machining, surface-mount equipment, inventory, and additional manufacturing space,” said Campbell. The building is slated to be finished in the late spring of 2025.

The new facility will aid in the company’s mission to positively impact billions of lives. Campbell continued, “But, more important than the size of the building is the investment in the people that advance our cause for developing science and technology for the benefit of humankind. The impact of the sensors and the instrumentation that will be built in this building will be felt worldwide, as these products that we build will be sent to measure and monitor the environment of the world, the infrastructure of the world, and the clean energy being generated for the world.”

Following Campbell’s remarks, three groups of Campbell Scientific manufacturing representatives came forward with shovels to remove ceremonial scoops of dirt, followed by a group of executives who did the same. Family members of the founding generation, with Rob Campbell, came forward in the final group.

“This is going to be a fantastic building,” said Campbell. “We’re thrilled to be building in the place where the company was started 50 years ago—right here in Logan, Utah. Cache Valley is a great place to work, to live, to raise a family, and to run a business. We are surrounded by great people in a wonderfully supportive community that allows us to continue to thrive as an international organization.”
