lndb manager in linux

Hi all,

I have the loggernet trial and the lndb trial to test collection of data automatically, i install this in a windows 7 computer and work very good, The program save automatically the data of the logger every 10 minutes (example.dat) and generate a data base LNDB (SQL server Compact Edition Database File), the client wants to use this data (sql) to post in they web page, but the server he use is linux.

I do not have much experience with web pages, but client wants the data are in sql format to show the data in the web page, its more easy for he if they have the data in this format.

The LNLINUX (The package includes a Linux version of the LoggerNet server and a Windows version of LoggerNet Remote) can do something similar to this (create a LNDB SQL)??? or there is a version of the LNDB for linux??

At present, LNDB cannot run under Linux unless it is run under some sort of virtual machine that emulates windows. However, the task may be much simpler than that. LNDB has the ability to work with three different data base engines:

- SQL Server Compact

- SQL Server

- MySQL (uses the MySQL ODBC driver)

There is nothing to stop you from continuing to run LNDB on the same windows host on LoggerNet and posting the data to MySQL running under Linux.

Let me see if i understood.....if i have a Windows PC (with LNDB and loggernet) and a second PC (with linux and mysql data base) in a LAN NETWORK all the data collected with the loggernet and LNDB can be saved inside the database running on Linux, i'm ok?

Do you have some kind of tutorial to acomplish this??

The server run in linux and is 64 bit

Correct. Just configure LNDB (running on Windows) to point to the MySQL server running on Linux. We do not offer tutorials for setting up a Linux server or MySQL. You can find a tutorial for LNDB on our website under "Downloads".
