Loggernet Services dies

edavis Oct 18, 2010 03:04 PM

Every few days the loggernet service dies on my windows xp computer, this started happening a few months ago. It seems like the all of the sudden nothing is listening on port 6789 any more and the loggernetservice is gone from the netstat table. I am using symantec end point protection.

What could be causing the service and or the 6789 localhost connection from stopping? I cant find any log recording a failure.

There could be clues in the most recent transaction log. The default location for logs is "C:\CambellSci\LoggerNet\Logs". The Tran$.log would be the most recent.

Nope no clues there. What would kill that Loggernetservice process ? How do I change that port from 6789 ?

You can change the port Loggernet uses, using a command line option at startup. See the Loggernet manual for Command Line Arguments. (The manual is installed on your PC as part of Loggernet in recent versions.)
