GPS16x-HVS on a CR10X datalogger

MichaelM Jul 20, 2010 01:58 PM

The manual says to change the baud rate to 1200. However, according to the manual on Garmin's site, the GPS16x is not capable of 1200, it's lowest setting is 4800.

The older, discontinued GPS16A is capable of 1200 baud.

Is there a way around this to get the GPS16X working on the CR10X datalogger?

According to the manual for the GPS16A, the data string, position <10> settings allow for 1200 baud.

When using Garmin's SNSRCFG_320.exe software, 1200 is an option, but when uploading the settings to the sensor the software times out and crashes.

Garmin has SNSRCFG_240.exe on the site for the GPS16x, and when using it 1200 baud is not an option at all. 4800 is the lowest.
