powerup.ini

Monte Apr 29, 2010 11:34 AM

hello

I've read the features of powerup.ini in the CR800 and CR1000 manuals. Though I'm not sure which hardware it needs to benefit from powerup.ini.
Does it work only on a CF card? So it needs the CFM100 module?

So the sentence below from the CR800 manual would be nonsense:
"8.3.4.3 Program Run Priorities
1. When the CR800 starts, it executes commands in the powerup.ini file, including commands to set program file (i.e., .CR8 files) attributes to Run Now or Run On Power Up."

Anyone can clarify this?

Thanks
Manuel

Powerup.ini works only if the file is stored on a card, so you would need an NL115 or CFM100. The manual should probably clarify that the ini file is run if one exists on a card.

Dana

I understand.
This means it does not work on a CR800, since there is no card reader for the CR800.

The powerup.ini is also supported in our new SC115 storage module which is compatible with the CR800 series dataloggers.

Unfortunately documentation on the use of the powerup.ini file has not yet been added to the SC115 manual. It will be shortly.
