Access to PakBus Neigbor (CR1000) via DevConfig

enmet Apr 7, 2016 11:16 AM

Hello,

i want to ask why it is not possible to access a neighboring device (in my case CR1000)  with DevConfigUtility.

I do have a logger network (one CR1000 is router, one is connected to the first via COM1). All settings are done and LoggerNet is able to collect data from both.

Unluckely, i cannot access the logger configuration with DevConfig. Why? If LoggerNet can access to the second with PakBus communication why is it not possible for DevConfig?

Regards
Thomas

DevConfig uses a simplified Pakbus server which does not support Pakbus routing. You may have noticed that DevConfig does not ask for the Pakbus address of the connected device. It assumes that the device is directly connected and talks with the first device to respond.

Many settings can be changed remotely through Loggernet. If you don't have the Settings Editor available on the Connect screen of Loggernet, update to the latest version.
