COM110A, CR200X and DYNDNS

biogeco Dec 3, 2015 03:53 PM

Hello

I want to have a remote access to my CR200X using a COM110A. As I can't do a call back back directly throught my firm network I subscribed a DYNDNS services.
So I want my COM100A to give the dynamic IP address to my DYNDNS hostname and then do a schedule data collection from the loggernet of my computer office.
I wonder wich call-back port and call-back address to set with mobile data assitant for my COM110A. I guess my hostname address but the "port number" ?
In my loggernet set up, I create a IPPORT connexion based on my hostname address:6785 but it doesn't work.

Anybody doing more or less the same ?

Thanks

Please email me directly (Andrew dot Sandford at campbellsci.co.uk) and I will show you how to enable a special function in the COM110A to enable Dyndns support. Before doing this you need to make sure you are able to connect to the dynamic IP address from the public internet though - on some networks the address are private and behind a firewall so this will not work.
