Using RTMC Pro (v4.2), is there a way to change the data source of multiple components at the same time?
Our application is vehicle testing, and we typically use a program on our loggers (CR5000 and CR1000) that is unique to each vehicle. We need a quick way to update the data sources rather than going component by component.
The "Load As Template" function works well to use the same .rtmc2 file for different programs as long as all of our programs have the same table definitions, but that isn't always possible.
I believe our problem would be resolved if there was a way for RTMC to reference the public variable name rather than the Alias.
For example, we use AM25T multiplexers, where the Alias for each channel may vary from program to program. But if RTMC referenced the source "AM1(1)" rather than "_101Ambient" (which is the alias), it would still work as a template if another program called out:
