retrieving programs from cr200

pjlopez Nov 2, 2008 06:15 PM

I am trying to retrieve a program from a cr200 data logger. Is there any software out there which can do this? I have logger_net 3.x software but have heard a rumor that older versions of campbell software may be able to do this. Is this true? I need it to know what data was collected and how it was processed.

Thanks.

The CR200 Series dataloggers do not have a built in compiler and therefore must be sent a precompiled binary file in order to program them. Even if you could get the program from the CR200, which I don't believe you can, you'd have a binary file on your hands. I'm not aware of any "decompiler" that can be used to reverse engineer the binary file.

I think the best you can do is look at the name of the program in the datalogger using the Datalogger pull-down menu and View Station Status menu item of the Connect screen and try to find that program on one of your computers.
