GPS16X-HVS

Has anybody got any experience of using the Garmin GPS16X-HVS data and overlaid it on a map and put measured parameters at locations? I have a customer looking to do this and want to check if anyone has done it or knows how to do it.

Thanks

Probably. the best way to do this would be to use a professional GIS program like ArcGIS. You could read the .dat file in as a table or like to a LNDB database. From there, you just have set the properties on the table to indicate which columns are latitude and longitude.

If you are using Google Earth, things are more complicated. You would have to make a kml file of the data points.
