CSI Web Server patch

seb Mar 9, 2015 02:15 AM

Hi,

I'm trying to install patch 1.3 to CSI Web Server on a client's machine and am receiving the error:

"The setup has detected that no version of CSI Web Server is installed.

This update requires that a previous version of the application be installed."

I can open CSI Web Server Administrator on that machine and it shows that version 1.02.06 is installed and running. Loggernet version is 4.3, and .NET 3.5 is installed alongside the latest .NET patch 4.5.2.

Has anyone come across a similar error before, or are there any system requirement documents that I'm missing?

The patch requires the original installation media to be present. Patches are applied to install media and not specific programs. If the CSI Web Server happened to be installed with RTMC Pro for example, then to update the CSI Web Server to the latest version you will need to run the RTMC Pro Patch 4.2 and the CSI Web Server will then be updated to 1.3 as the media for the RTMC Pro install contains the patch.

If you look in the Add/Remove programs section (or Uninstall or change a program section) the CSI Web Server must be present to apply the CSI Web Server patch. If RTMC Pro was installed, you will notice "RTMC Pro XX" (XX indicates the version).
