CDM-300 and CR1000 OS28

ScottM Mar 4, 2015 06:30 PM

I had upgraded a CR1000 to OS28 and was testing a program with a CDM-VW300 (essentially the example 20Hz avw300 program). The system would read a static frequency, not dynamic, and wouldn't do calculations on the frequency. Dynamic diagnostic code was -1. The lights were also intermittently flashing red on the CDM and SC-CPI. I tried a few more known good programs with no luck. I then reverted back to OS 27.04 and it works great. I couldn't tell from the change log that i needed to modify the program. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this.

Thanks,
Scott Massa

If you use CDM-VW300 or CDM-VW305 devices with a CR1000, CR3000, or CR800 that has OS 28 or later (or with a CR6 with OS 1 or later), then you need to put a new version 2 OS into the CDM-VW300/305 and into the SC-CPI for everything to work properly with each other. (There is a new OS for the CDM-VW30x and also a new OS for the SC-CPI).

It is my understanding that these OSes are in the process of being posted the Campbell Scientific website so that they can be downloaded. In the mean time you should contact your local Campbell support representative to get these OSes.

The v2 OSes for the CDM-VW300/305 and SC-CPI are now available from the CSI website for download.
