CS120 Communication problem

Paulo Dec 18, 2014 06:57 PM

Dear all,
I have a CS120 visibilimeter connected to a CR1000 logger in the COM port.

I am having problems using the SET command. I am using exactly the same SET command as in the manual but I have no response from the sensor.

When I use the GET (the same script as the one in the manual) the CS120 answers normally. In the return message the message format type returns as 5 (should be either 0,1,2). The sensor ID returns as -1 (should be between 0-9). The other parts of the message are default normal.
This happens even after using the internal switch to set the CS120 to default.

When I use the READ command I get a weird string with visibility = 99999 and some 9s and 0s.

If I use the GET command after using the SET (as the SET does not receive an answer), there is no change in the GET from default.

What could be happening?
Thank you,
Paulo.
