CR10 to M35 GSM modem

migalme Sep 7, 2009 06:56 AM

In the past we used Anydata i-Port modems with CR10 dataloggers in a CDMA network, which was shut down lately.

We used Siemens M35 and M20 modems with CR10X dataloggers on our Orange network with GSM - data over voice mode successfully.

Now we tried to connect the CR10 to the M35, with same configuration as it works OK with the CR10X, but can not establish connection.

Could anyone advise?

The CR10 and CR10X should be identical in most respects. One thing you could try though is to make sure you fix the baud rate of the modem to 9600 baud (usually with a variant of the AT+IPR command) as it is possible the auto-baud rate detection of the logger may go wrong otherwise especially with modern modems.
