CSIWebServer excessive CPU usage

KimR Oct 24, 2014 01:21 PM

Hi Campbell

We are using RTCM Pro and CSIWebServer (vers. 1.02.06) to generate numerous web sites. The sites can be accessed through port 80 on our server.

However, we have noted that the CSIWebServer has an excessive CPU usage which prevents other processes on the server to perform incorrectly.

We are wondering if anybody has ideas that can limit the WebServer’s CPU usage?

CPU utilization requirements, memory, and etc. are going to be largely dependent upon the project(s) that you have published, the types of data sources present in those projects, and the types of queries that have to be made. I can tell you up front that data file sources, especially those reading comma separated data such as TOA5 are, by their nature, CPU intensive. Without knowing the details of what you have published to the server and/or seeing web server logs, it is impossible to say precisely the cause of your difficulties.
