Vaisala WMT702 programming with CR1000 and SDI-12

kimo Jun 18, 2014 12:54 AM

I am looking for a sample program I could use to get started programming our ultrasonic wind sensor. I don't have the aptitude to start this but would eventually like to have it output 5 minute averages of speed, maximum gusts and direction. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find sample programs? Thanks.

Program the CR1000 with ShortCut and use Generic Measurements | SDI-12 for your sensor. Our Quick Start tutorials can step you through the process https://www.youtube.com/user/CampbellScientific/playlists?sort=dd&view=50&shelf_id=3

Has anyone used the WMT700 series ultrasonic wind sensor in SDI-12 mode on a CR10X? The sensor spec is for SDI-12 Version 1.3, but CR10X spec is version 1.2.

Any feedback would be gratefully received.

If you are just making standard measurement commands aM! aC! etc

It should not have any effect that the sensor has a newer version than the logger is built for.

The differences between 1.3 and 1.2 are minor.
