adjustable 0-5V output from CR1000

It is not possible to output a regulated DC current from the CR1000, adjustable precisely from 0 to 5V.
So my question is: is there a way (electronic element to add) to convert a numeric signal from the CR1000 (RS232) to a electronic box that the output is regulated from 0 to 5V.
