CR1000 4-20 mA control Loop

Hello!

I know that the dataloggers are designed to register data but i have the next doubt in a project i am measuring water level in some parshall channels but now i need to see how to control a pump with 4-20 mA, my question is:

Some one know of a device that can provide the 4-20 mA control capability to a datalogger, in example the CR1000 send a string using the RS232 port or SDI12 port or something else and this "device connected to one of the ports of the datalogger" change that value to the equivalent 4 or 20 mA to control other device?

At the end i want to see if there is a way in that the dataloggers can control devices using 4-20 mA signals, probabli the answer will be to use a PLC, but who knows if there is something i can use

Thank you in advance
