I've just begun scheduled collections of data from 4 CR-1000's (connecting via cellular modem). Everything is working great. The question I have is in the status monitor screen, next to the CR-1000's name, I can see a graph with green line in the lower part of the graph, and red lines cutting through it at different intervals.
My question is, what do they mean. My first thought was that the red lines were failed connection attempts but they're too frequent and I don't have a problem connecting manually to these loggers. Plus, the total retries column in the status monitor is a zero.

I just figured out the problem. The red lines are unsuccessful connection attempts. The modems are set to power down at night in order to reduce energy consumption, so connections are possible without problem during the day, but I get the red lines at night.
