Help fix mistake of analog multiplexer RTX-248

SangNguyen Feb 17, 2014 11:52 AM

I use CR1000 for automation data acquisition system, and RTX-248 to increase the numbers of channels. I terminate correctly, because another Multiplexer can run. Only one RTX-248 does not change channels. When I measurement resistant between Pin In CLK and Ground, resistant equal 0.2 Ω. I think this is cause of Multiplexer not run. You can help me how to fix my problem.
Thanks and best regards!

A couple of questions. How have you programed these Roctest multiplexers? What type are they A, B, C or F.

Thanks for answer!
Of course, I use CR Basic to make program. I use Multiplexer to read temperature sensor (type PT100, read resistance) . I connect direct CR1000 and Multiplexer, C1, C2 connect to RST and CLK. Program is good, because same program other Multiplexer can run, read data correctly. You can give me some reason why Multiplexer not change channel (I don’t hear any sound of change channel when I stand near that)

I would suggest that it is broken and needs repairing or replacing.

I don’t know more about electric circuit, you can give me some reason why did not Multiplexer run? And have me repair it?
Thanks and best regards!

You connected one RTX to the CR1000 and it worked. You then changed the RTX and connected the second RTX to the CR1000 with the same wires and the same program and it did not work. Clearly it is a faulty RTX. Inside the RTX are microcontrollers which switch the channels on the CLK pulse. If the microcontroller is broken then obviously the RTX will not work. The most common cause of damage is lightening. What have Roctest advised you to do?

SangNguyen Feb 26, 2014 01:43 PM

thanks, RTX not run, don’t sure that microcontroller broken.hi. My boss asked question for Roctest. I’m waiting answer from Roctest. What kinds of microcontroller I can change if microcontroller broken?

" What kinds of microcontroller I can change if microcontroller broken?" With respect this is another question you should be asking Roctest.
