Run Loggernet as a service

Coralie Jan 29, 2014 08:29 AM

Hello,

We would like to run our Loggernet on a server as a service.
I read it is possible to do this with Loggernet Admin but we do not have this soft.
Do you know if there is a way to run Loggernet and all its features (including RTMC Runtime) as a service on a server?

Thanks for your help,

Coralie

Under windows, services are console based applications that run under a special session that generally is incapable of interacting with the desk top. There are third party "service wrappers" (do a search on Google for "Windows service wrapper" that are capable of running applications as a service. However, applications loaded in this way may not run because of loss of required privileges. For this reason, my suggestion would be to upgrade your version of LoggerNet to LoggerNet admin (see https://www.campbellsci.com/loggernetadm-u).

For the same reasons stated above, RTMC run time does not perform well, or at all, as a service. We do offer a web server product (see https://www.campbellsci.com/csiwebs) that runs as a service and that can serve interactive RTMC pages to any modern browser using HTTP. If you have RTMC Pro installed, the web server is already included.
