MODBUS and Loggernet via CR206X

fpborges Jan 24, 2014 04:10 PM

Dear fellows,

Our system has the following connections:

CR206X (RF Port) --- RF401 (RS232) --- (RS232) NL200 (TCP/IP) --- PC Server

The expressions between brackets indicate the type of connection.

We've been wondering if we can use the RF Port from the CR206X to receive data on the PC Server via Loggernet (Schedule Collection) and MODBUS TCP/IP (ModBusSlave command, i.e. ModBusSlave (1,9600,1,ModIn(),Port(),0,0)). Hence, the new topology would be as described bellow:

CR206X (RF Port) --- RF401 (CS I/O) --- (CS I/O) NL200 (TCP/IP) --- (TCP/IP) PC Server

We would install the LoggerNet and Modbus softwares both on the PC Server, running at the same time. We'd already tested this kind of connection using a CR800 and a NL240, and it worked, but the CR206X doesn't have a CSI/O port, thus the connection would be different. What do you think?

Regards,
Francisco.
