connecting multiple am16/32

SamC Jan 18, 2014 12:59 AM

Hi we've been provided with a wiring diagram that connects four am16/32 through the same control ports on a cr3000(reset c4, and clock c6), as well as a am25T.

I'm wondering if this is possible? I'm not certain how the logger identify the correct multiplxer, and if possible, how to programme this.

Most of the remaining control ports on the logger are assigned to other devices, so only C7 & C8 could be free.

Thanks Sam

You can have a single clock (eg C1) for all devices but you have to enable them one at a time using the reset (eg C2, C3, C4 and C5). If only one am16/32 at a time is enabled, the others do not listen to the clock signal. With fewer available ports is quite complicated!

If you can't save ports, you can purchase SDM-CD16D.
This module generates other 16 ports using c1,c2 and c3 on CR3000
