I'm interested in seeing if it possible to communicate with several Pressure transducers using the Hart protocol and a CR1000?
Currently I'm picking off the process variable with a 4-20 ma current loop. This is ok, but I have a new project coming up where I'll have 6 to 8 transducers very close together and would like to take advantage of the multidrop capabilities of my sensors using HART. The transducers are made by Siemens, SITRANS DSIII.
I've been cruising the web a bit and found that HART can use the existing 4-20ma current loop and imposes a 1200 bps signal on top.
