CR1000 startup configuration file

CTS Dec 17, 2013 08:12 AM

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any way on writing a startup configuration file (in case the logger is reset) to configure e the CS I/O port for ppp interface similar to that what is done in device config utility.

I have got a default.cr1 source on the logger, but this only switches the SW12 on as this controls my GSM modem. It happened once or twice that somehow the logger was reset and configuration had to be done on site to get it up and running again. If one can expand the default.cr1 program with basic configuration parameters, this would safe quite a bit on travel.

Thx
E.

You can include PPP setup in the default.cr1 by setting the relevant settings using the SetStatus command. Please note though that if an IP setting is changed from a current setting the logger will force a recompile of the program, so there may be a delay in the connection being available again.

It is pretty rare for the logger to lose its PPP settings though, but perhaps not impossible.
