MySQL support in LNDB

seb Dec 11, 2013 08:04 PM

Hi there,

Just wondering what the official word is on support for later versions of MySQL in LNDB 1.1

Are there any known issues with versions of MySQL later than 5.1, or have they just not been fully tested?

Thanks,
Sam

No official testing has been done with LNDB 1.1 since the time it shipped out (2010). However there are some installations known to us with versions higher than 5.1 that have worked fine. So I think there is a pretty good chance that at least some higher versions would work fine for you. Proceed with caution, but I do think you should proceed.

What version are you interested in using ?

Thanks for the reply,

We were looking at using 5.5, and do use it elsewhere in non-production environments, but I've just learnt that the environment we will be using has MSSQL 2008 R2, which I believe is supported anyway?

So for future reference, there are no [b]known[/] issues with MySQL versions newer than those supported?

No known issues, right. No known issues with MSSQL 2008 R2 either.
