I am using the SDM-IO16 (haven't received it yet) and I am trying to prepare the code for when it arrives.
My application requires 8 of the ports to be outputs (channels 1-8) and 8 of the ports to be inputs (channels 9-16).
In each scan, the inputs will be checked and based on their state and some logic based on time and other sensor inputs, the outputs may or may not be set to be active.
I'd like to use Command 93 or 94 to set the outputs based on variable(s) but I am concerned that this will mess up the 8 channels that have been defined as inputs.
Will I have to use Commands 88 and 89 to set the state of the 8 output ports only, or can I use command 93/94? Will I need to reconfigure channels 9-16 as inputs after doing so?
