RTMC Doesn't update (!) signs

Using Loggernet 3.4.1. On occasion, I have operating RTMC files that appear to stop working. These are monitoring a Public data file and displaying a number of values. I don't see any reason for this. However If I simply click properties of the RTMC element and re-enter the identical path into the Series field, it starts to work again. This is only for the element I updated, and each element has to be updated in the same way so that they all are communicating with Loggernet.

What can this be and where to I go to fix this. How does this occur ?
