deep discharge protection for cr1000

SoilResearcher Sep 28, 2013 08:35 AM

hi

we are running the cr1000 with recharcheble batteries. does crbasic profdes a solution for deep discharge protection for the batterie (e.g. like turning off the logger when voltage is below a given value)?

thanks in advance for any hint!

The logger will stop running its program when the supply voltage drops below about 9.6 V. This will reduce the current drain to about 0.7 mA (providing nothing is connected to the permanent 5V or any 12V outputs).

You can put code in your program to stop the program running if you wish that measures the battery voltage and either skips the whole measurement scan or selected parts, at any voltage you choose.
