Connecting the datalogger through different networks

kakha Sep 14, 2013 09:19 AM

We've got CR1000 dataloggers and need to set up two different networks so in case one fails the Loggernet software uses the another.

In Task Master we set up alternate parent so when one network interface fails it moves to another but the problem is that it still uses the original destination IP address.

On datalogger side we've got two GPRS modems with defferent mobile operator sim cards. The idea is that if one operator fails another should will be available but using our setup it helps only if just interface fails because it still uses the same destination address.

the cora script on task master is:
--input={connect localhost; set-alt-parent CR1000 pakbus1 pakbus2;}

can we add something in the script so that when pakbus2 becomes the parent, destination IP address assigned to its IPPort to be used as destination?

Sorry if not explained not really clearly :)
