Vaisala PTB100A

embayweather Aug 13, 2013 12:33 PM

I am trying to connect one of these devices to a CR10X. The programming available within ShortCut allows only for a PTB101B. Using that I get no output in the data logger (there is a variable output from the 100A). I would thus assume that the connections are wrong. Is tehre any advice you could give me to get this unit working or is it something that cannot be achieved?

thanks for your help

Mike

PS Currently power is supplied form the data logger. Output goes to 2L and connections are made to AGRND and GND respectively

CR10X that is old?

The issue could be that the Vaisala PTB100A has 0-5v output and the CR10X analogue inputs are -2.5 to +2.5v.

You can use ShortCut and pretend it's the same model, but you have to divide, at least by 2, the output voltage and
transform 0 .. 5V to 0 .. 2.5V. You can do this using the divider present into Campbell catalog, like VDIV2:1.
