data output errors

SteveStill Jul 18, 2009 04:56 PM

Hi folks,

I am running a CR10 with a CR10WP faceplate. I have two SDM16AC units and two am16-32B units. My sensors are 32 Decagon 10HS soil moisture sensors.

I also have a SW12V to power the sensors, as they require an excitation of 3-15V, and I believe the CR10 can send 2.5V(?).

OK, the problems...

In my data output I am receiving a lot of repeated numbers, which I assume are error or "out of range" codes;

6999
23.2
717
0

Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean and what I might try to troubleshoot?

Thanks!

Steve

Steve,

Please clarify this:
I also have a SW12V to power the sensors, as they require an excitation of 3-15V, and I believe the CR10 can send 2.5V(?).

The CR10 can send up to 2500 mV on one of the EX channels, not the SW12V.

6999 is the maximum number that the CR10 can display. If you see that number it may be an over-range condition, putting more than 2.5 volts on one of the input channels to the datalogger. It can cause a 6999 and also "disturb" other readings on the internal multiplexer.

IslandMan
