Scheduled data collection does not start

marciopf Jul 4, 2013 10:56 AM

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a Scheduled data collection on some CR1000 dataloggers, but it is not working. The data collection does not start at all, below are the details:

- Loggernet version 4.1.0.16 (updated today due to a thread that indicated the problem could be solved with this patch);

- I activated the scheduled collection in the [Setup Screen], see the settings in (http://snag.gy/FCTb0.jpg);

- when I start the Loggernet the process TMEngine.exe is running;

On the Task Manager:
- the option [Edit]>[Pause All Tasks] is disabled;
- the dataloggers that I have in the [Setup] are there, with correct schedule information (enabled and with the selected timing);

- Messages on the Task Manager:

<-- ReadTaskInfoCmd
--> ReadTaskInfoAck
<-- GetTaskEnabledCmd
<-- EnumerateTasksCmd
--> TaskEnabledNotification
The tasks are disabled
--> TaskEnabledNotification
The tasks are enabled
--> GetTasksEnabledAck
The tasks are enabled
--> EnumerateTaskNotification for 0 tasks

Thanks in advance.

Open the Status tool and check that the "Pause Schedule" checkbox, in the lower left hand corner, is checked or not. If it is there is your answer.

It is not checked.

Also in the Status tab, is it supposed to be listed any task for scheduled collection? Because, there isn't!

I think we may be talking at crossed purposes here. I think you are referring to the Task Master and its Status window. In Loggernet terms Tasks are additional tasks it is programmed to do above and beyond scheduled data collection. The Taskmaster is used to define and control those extra tasks, which may involve running other programs, ftp'ing data etc.

The data collection is done by the main Loggernet Server and the Status client I was referring to was the main Loggernet Status Monitor client that you start by running the item with the Heart Icon that can be found under the Main menu.

The will show a list of stations you have defined, the Pause Schedule checkbox and also the state of collection foreach station.

That was it!
:)

Many thanks.
