Campbell CR1000 and NRG 200p

rggovani Jun 25, 2013 01:32 PM

I am very new to campbell instruments

I am trying to connect a NRG 200p Direction vane to Campbell CR1000, could someone help me with connecting the Direction vant to CR1000.

Also do i need to do any programming ( C programming ) or the basic campbell data logger will work?

The SCWin program generator supports the NRG 200P. You can download it free of charge from our web site:

https://www.campbellsci.com/scwin

That should give you a pretty good idea of how to program and wire the sensor to the CR1000. If you need to do more complex programming, the file can then be opened in the CRBasic Editor (that comes with PC400 and LoggerNet).

I did manage to connect the CR1000, but for some reason i wasnt able to send my program to the CR1000. it says the the file name is incorrect or the file name is too long.
Does this mean that there is something wrong with the CR1000 or i have programed something wrong?

Ensure there is enough space on the CPU drive to store the file (you can view the files on the CPU using File Control that is in our software). Also, if you are using very long file names you can run into instances where there is space on the CPU, but there is no more space for names of files.

Finally, make sure you are sending the CR1 file generated by SCWin, and not the SCW file.

I checked, i do have more then enough space on my CPU; and at first i had used "test1" as my file name, then i tried to use "T" and that didnt work either.
i did try to upload the .CR1 file, but the same error pops up.

Is there any way campbell can make me a simple program if i told them what sensors i am planning on using. And i can tweak the program according to my needs?
