Does Campbell Scientific have a template available to speed configuration of the Sierra Wireless Airlink LS300 for use with the CR800 datalogger?
The LS300 has basically replaced the Raven XT modem, from Sierra Wireless.

We are not currently looking to adopt the LS300 due to its significantly higher current drain. Users who have designed their solar / battery systems around accommodating the RavenXT should be aware that the idle power draw of the LS300 is four times that of the RavenXT.
With that said, once you have configured the LS300 as a serial server or PPP host, you can save the settings and apply them elsewhere to other devices. To make it more generic, you can save the settings from one device and then edit the resulting .xml file to remove the site specific settings.
To help those who are trying to use the Sierra Wireless LS300, we have posted template files for the CDMA LS300 on the CSI downloads page. We currently do not have a LS300 HSPA+ modem to create a template with so we have just provided templates for CDMA. The main difference between the CDMA and HSPA+ is entering the APN into the modem.
