SDMCAN - reading more than 8 bytes

rlwoell Jun 6, 2013 03:34 PM

I have a CANBUS system that sends some data in transport protocol. That is, it uses one PGN to send more than 8 bytes. In my case, it sends 28 bytes and I need the data from the 23rd and 24th bytes.

Does anyone have a suggestion how I can do that using a CR1000 and an SDMCAN?

Have you seen the option under section 3.4 of the manual about using filters and buffers to capture multiple frames into a series of buffers?

This should do what you need as long as you can easily identify the starting frame.
