a problem in importing the data to excel

when i want to import the data of loggernet to excel that give me this message:
Stop condition not found in C:\CAMPBELLSCI\LOGGERNET\CR1000_JOURNALIER.DAT! select anew data file and continue?
i want to know how to create a parameter extension

Im not shure if undertood well, you want to open a .dat file downloaded from the logger with excel?, if so: first open excel and then search in excel the .dat file in the computer, excel can open this files.
