Is it possible to upload a new OS for a CR1000 remotely ? My CR1000 is on OS 24 and I would like to upgrade it to OS 25 or 26, but I can't go on site yet.
Is there a way to do that ? With Loggernet ? Devconfig ?
If you feel your communication link to the logger is reliable enough and fast enough, you can simply send the OBJ file (e.g., CR1000.Std.26.obj) to the datalogger using the "Send..." button in the Connect screen. In other words you send the .obj just as though it were a CRBasic program.
The datalogger has a process for receiving the OS into its storage completely first and validating it before it goes through the process of "loading it in". If all goes well,
you should be able to connect again after that process is
complete.
