RTMC Pro alarm for timestamp/RecNum anomalies

mwassmer Apr 17, 2013 03:33 PM

I would like to set some alarms in RTMC Pro that turn on when there are discontinuities in either the timestamp or RecNum columns in the data table. My most important use case is detecting when there is a missing record(s) in the data table, e.g., the timestamp jumps from 2013-04-17 09:03 to 2013-04-17 09:05, or a timestamp repeats, or a RecNum skips a number.

I was hoping to use the "Rate of Change" alarm and setting it to alarm if the timestamp rate of change <> 1 minute or if the RecNum rate of change <> 1, but the timestamp and RecNum fields are not selectable in the Data Source Browser.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A thought...
Modify your output table to sample a separate record number other than the built in one. Just keep track of it manually in the program.

I'm going to set an alarm on the MissedRecords array in the Status table to see if that does the trick.
