PingIP CRBasic function

dberdes Mar 25, 2013 03:33 AM

What happened to the PingIP function in CRBasic? I recently upgraded the CR1000 OS to Rev 25 and the function no longer appears in the function list within the CRBasic editor. My CRBasic program now does not compile and I get the following compile error for each PingIP function call in the program:

"Undeclared variable PingIP."

If the PingIP instruction has been eliminated, has its functionality been incorporated into another function?

This has not been removed. Perhaps you have selected the wrong logger type when starting a new program or are using a different PC which has a very old copy of the CRBasic editor and support files.

Alternatively, although I have not heard of this, I wonder if the upgrade process, if you this this by running the downloadable executable from our website, has somehow corrupted your setup?

Andrew,

Thank you for your feedback. I moved my LoggerNet installation from one laptop to another recently and while historically this process has been trouble-free, this time I guess some files became corrupt during the transition. I reinstalled the OS25 files for both the CR1000 and the CR3000 and my program now compiles correctly using the PingIP instruction on the new laptop.

BTW, I am still using LoggerNet Admin 3.4.1. Will this LoggerNet installation become obsolete with new OS releases down the road?
