Data Transmission trough RF450 radios using GetDataRecord

Maestropolo Mar 20, 2013 10:32 AM

I am trying to transfer data from a slave CR1000 to another one using GetDataRecord, I cannot have the data transmitted from the slave station.
From my experience, it looks like the number 32768 added to the remote table number parameter to avoid mismatch issues between the remote and local table does not consider mismatch in the tables size. Is this true?

However, the CRBasic help instruction said: The table definitions for the local and remote dataloggers must be identical (this includes field order, table size, and the declaration of units), unless 32768 (&H8000) is added to the TableNo parameter.

I got it working TWICE, but only when I have a new program loaded in the remote datalogger. But, once I change the local Datalogger program while the remote datalogger keeps storing measurements, the transmission fails.

Is there a way to send a program to the remote datalogger from a computer attached to the local datalogger? If yes, How can I do this? I do not enjoy driving to my remote station.

From the Local Public Table, the Variable "Result" which is where the response code for the transmission is stored has a Zero value for a good number of minutes, but, no data has been transmitted.

Thank you in advance and I look forward to reading from you.
