CR1000 with dynamic IP best solution

FRphil Jan 31, 2013 09:39 AM

Hello,
I've 3 weather stations based on CR1000. They all use a GPRS-modem kit, with dynamic IP. They drop the data every 3 hours on my computer, using the callback function of Loggernet. My system is not stable enough, it works for a few weeks, then it's stocked and I have to reboot the CR1000.
I want to reconfigure my stations, to go to something more stable and safer. My stations are far away from me, I cannot go on site more than once a year, and I need my data every week at least.

I would like to know what is the best solution for autonomous stations like that (GPRS modem and dynamic IP):
- Connecting the CR1000 to an FTP and uploading the data with an interval of time (3hours for example). FTP is easy to use but it will download the hole table file every time.
- Or, to use the callback function of Loggernet

Thank you in advance
Félix

Hello,

I have just seen your trouble. Right now, I have the same problem, the only difference is that I have a private IP on GPRS modem.

I would like to know the final solutions that you employed.
