Running LoggerNet behind a web proxy server

carlin550 Jan 23, 2013 09:18 AM

We are trying to run loggernet within an intranet that has a web proxy server and where the only open ports are 80 and 443. We have changed the ports used by our remote loggers to 443 for LoggerNet/Pakbus and kept 80 for html. Within the intranet a browser with the proxy server settings can see the remote loggers but as proxy settings can not be set within LoggerNet, Loggernet can not communicate with the remote loggers. We have found a few OS hacks and work around's but the IT department is not overly keen on those solutions. A solution may be to use software that redirects LoggerNet network traffic through the web proxy, like Proxifier, http://www.proxifier.com. Has anyone used or tried this or possibly has another solution? I ask because even trying something will require some effort to even get the IT department to install it.
