CR1000 control ports CC5mpx etc

BNZLTER Dec 10, 2012 09:22 PM

Hi there,
I am trying to fit a pile of sensors onto a single CR1000.

My current dilemma is finding enough control ports to run 2 multiplexers, , 4 HMP's, 3 615's, 4 wind speed sensors, a TE525, an SR50 and a CC5mpx.

Here is how I have it set up, without the camera

CP1: Turn on multiplexers, HMP's and 615's
CP2: clock mux 1
CP3: clock mux 2
cp4: count tips from TE525
CP5: count pulses from Wind Speed 3 (1 and 2 are on the pulse channels)
CP6: count pulses from Wind Speed 4
CP7: SDI input from SR50
CP8: Empty

I am curious if I can use CP7 and CP8 to communicate with the CC5MPX as well as read the signal from the SR50?

The SR50 only needs to be read once per hour and the CC5PX only needs to take pics every 1-4 hours, depending on the season (i.e. battery drain and darkness). I assume if I read the devices at different times this might work, though I am not sure if the SR50 signal will mess up the camera and vice versa.

Would this work? If not, what is a better option?

This station is connected to a freewave radio if that has any effect on this.

THANKS!!

No, it would no work.
How about using the RS232, a MD485, or Ethernet to talk to the CC5MPX?
