GSM Modem

Hi,

I would like to connect my GSM modem to the campbell scientific datalogger, CR850 through RS232 port. May i know do i need to add addtional program code?

*Currently in my program, i am only set the baudrate RS232 to 115200.

SetStatus ("BaudrateRS232","115200")

Hi Monitoring,

There are a couple things you will need to do right off the bat. First make sure you have AceMangager. You also need to download the template file for that modem it is called
"Raven GPRS/EDGE Template 115200 v."

Both can be downloaded from this link.

You must then connect your laptop or computer directly to the modem and commumicate with it using the AceManager software.

There are three key steps you need to take.
1-Load the template file
2- Write the template file
3- Reset the modem

These steps will make it possible to communicate with the logger.

Now there are other steps in the RAVENXTG manual to take to utilize Airlink's dynamic name server..

I am trying to install the AceMangager, but error was occurs.
In addition, i have downloaded the Raven GPRS/EDGE Template 115200 v, but i do not know how to write the template file.

I am new to campbell logger, hope that you can provide me step by step instructions.

Model: EM-770W INT

Datalogger - Campbell CR850

Please advice on how to congifure the modem. I addition, the addition program codes that i should include in my program.

I apologize, the information I gave you is for a GSM modem using the GPRS Protocol, and more particularly geared for the RaveX Modem made by Sierra Wireless. If you are located in Australia, I would recommend contacting Campbell Scientific Australia directly, for they would have more practical experience with these modems.

The information provided was ONLY applicable to the Sierra Wireless RavenX series.
Malaysia is served by Campbell Scientific Australia.
CSA has a wealth of experience with the Maxon cellular modems.
