Writing/editing programs on Android devices

BenFerguson Nov 29, 2012 02:05 AM

Hi,
I was wondering whether or not there is any way to edit/create CRBasic programs on an Android device.
I have seen LoggerLink in the app store, and from what I can tell it doesn't support editing/creating programs, just uploading and downloading them. Is there/will there be an app available for editing CRBasic programs (apart from in notepad or similar) on an android device, with similar features to CRBasic Editor?

Cheers, Ben.

The problems loaded or downloaded with LoggerLink are edited on the device using a plain text editor. There is no CRBasic Editor eqivalent for Android or iOS.

Hmm... Thats a pity, i usually like to be able to check the compiling, especially when loading programs remotely...

The crbasic editor uses small programs called precompilers that are built from the data logger operating system source code (which is written in c). These are not easily portable and so would be difficult to support on android or on iOS. Probably, the best we could do it using web services.
