loggernet settings locked

azs Nov 26, 2012 02:22 PM

When I try to change the datalogger setup, Loggernet says that the settings are locked by me (my username.) Other users experience this as well, but I don't know how I locked the settings or how to unlock them. Thanks.

If it is the scenario I think it is. This caused by a change made in the set up screen but it not being fully committed to the database.

Easiest fix would probably restart the the loggernet service via the Service Manager (in your start menu with all the other loggernet programs) or directly by windows services.

A client lock is automatically created by the set up screen when you begin to make changes. This lock will persist until the changes have been committed or cancelled or until the connection between the set up screen and the LoggerNet server is severed. While the lock will not outlast the LoggerNet server, the approach advocated above (that of restarting the LoggerNet server) seems to be rather extreme.
