data from PWS100

Hi to all,

does anyone have a suggestion (as simple as possible) to acquire data (ASCII) from a PWS100, connected directly (RS232) to a PC (WIN OS)? If is possible with automatic shedulation (option)

Crudely you can use Hyperterminal (if it is on your PC) or CS Device Configuration program (using the unknown device type) with the options to write the received data to a file switched on. This is crude though as the data will be lost if capture is not closed properly, e.g. if the PC gets restarted etc.

We have used this program for our own development work:

It is relatively low cost and quite powerful. You can get it to bale files on a timed basis and add timestamps etc.
