Are there any plans to expand on the fieldbus communication capabilities of the Campbell Scientific dataloggers to include support for other protocols such as profibus and devicenet, I have recently had to include fieldbus gateways to a system in order to talk to a profibus network. This wasn't a big deal except for the cost and the fact that I now have an additional component in the comms chain and as such another possible point of failure. It would have been handy however to have a profibus master/slave command similar to the modbus master/slave command.
Also, have Campbell Scientific ever considered making the com ports user configurable between RS232/RS422 and RS485, again I realise that there are interface modules that can do this, but these also present a possible point of failure in the coms chain.
